“The cost of living has continued to increase, while Rhode Islander’s paychecks have barely budged. We work harder and longer yet continue to be one medical bill, or one surprise car repair, away from catastrophe.
The reason I am running to be the next representative for District 22, is because the current system isn’t working for many working and middle-class people in our state and the current leadership at the Statehouse isn’t listening.
We need to make it more affordable to raise a family in Rhode Island by passing affordable childcare, a living wage, universal healthcare, and investments in our housing stock. We also need to protect the civil rights of our neighbors and look out for the most vulnerable amongst us by increasing funding for Early Intervention, our seniors, and the developmentally and physically disabled.
For too long, corporate and special interests have had a heavy hand at the Statehouse diverting funds away from the People and towards their own pockets. That ends on September 13th when we win this Democratic primary.”
